Beyond Distraction

Distractions are often ways we try to escape discomfort—whether physical, emotional, or existential. The mind, influenced by these underlying challenges, pulls us away from what feels painful or unsatisfying and toward what seems enjoyable. But this reflex is based on a misunderstanding of happiness and suffering, creating habits that keep us stuck in cycles of dissatisfaction and distraction.
